Hi everyone, I am a 25 year old guy who experienced a penile trauma about a month ago and right now I suspect it may initiate peyronies dissease. Let me tell the whole story:

On may 30th I was having sex with a girl. She was on top and jumping up and down on my not so hard penis. By the way, I have a curved penis from birth, both downwards and to the left, but mostly it didn't cause any problems. Girl on top was always a bit uncofrtable due to natural curvature of my penis, but I kept doing that position, what a mistake that was.

Suddenly I heard a cracking sound from my penis and a sudden pain occured. But pain lasted only for couple of seconds. My partner said she didn't hear any cracking sound and she was very surprised I immediatly stopped and checked my penis. There was nothing wrong, at least visibly, but I lost my erection. Because there was no pain, I got hard again and went back to have sex, couldn't ejaculate because of the awkwardness of the sitiuation. Next morning I spotted a big acne on base of my penis, where pain was felt last night. For a moment I thought maybe it was the acne what caused the pain. Oh boy was I wrong...following week was full of paranoia. My penis felt weird when flaccid. Btw I was visiting my parents and it was holiday, so no doctor appointment was possible. Only emergency service, but I figured they would not do anything because it was not an emergency. My injury was not penile fracture that was certain. No bruiaing, no swelling, even the weird feeling itself was not enough to say I was in pain. Just a weird sensation in my shaft. I didn't get any erections for the week, but I knew it was because of the panic I was experiencing. Anyway, on 7th day I finally decided to see a private urologist who charges so much money. I tols him the story, he checked my penis with his hands, there was a little pain during examination but only a little. He said "everything looks so normal." by the time I was not aware of peyronies dissease,my concern was mostly about a mild fracture. Doctor assured me there was no fracture. And he said something like "there would be plaques if somethingwas wrong, I didn't feel any, but your penis experienced a trauma that's for sure, still nothing to worry about."

After the appointment I was very relieved. I immediatly masturbated when I went back home. Erection was quite hard but during ejeculation I felt a little discomfort near the base of my shaft. But I was very happy to be able to get the erection. Next week I went back to my city and had sex again. This time only soft missonary of course. Still I had pain in the base when she had her orgasm and put pressure on the base of my penis. Btw flaccid pain(mild pain) was still there. After having sex for couple more days, we broke up and I went back to masturbation. But I noticed my penis was not as long as it was before. Two more weeks passed and I noticed my curve angle was increasing. I am not sure about that though. Curve was like 15-20 degrees before the trauma, but it was a lot more elastic before, I could easily straighten it with my hands. Now, curve is much more stubborn, and angle is increasing. Lenght of my penis seems normal when fully erect.

I started reading every single article about peyronies. But I still don't know if I am developing peyronies right now and if it will get worse and worse over time. No pain during erection, I am not having sex right now so no way of knowing if it is harder to penetrate. My question is, does peyronies develop slowly after a trauma and is it possible my doctor missed the plaques during hand examination? Or do plaques develeop later, is this the reasom he didm't notice them?

I am freaking out for the last couple of days since I noticed curve is getting worse. Right now I don't have insurrance and I can't affors another private clinique. I went all in 3 weeks ago... so, will I watch my penis bend more and more everyday? I really appreciate the support and help you guys provide eachother here. Hopefully I will also get the support I need here. Thanks everyone who read my story til the end.

If the curve has indeed increased. Peyronies is def a possiblility.  I'd start by reading gbtge survival guide and bring any questions here: Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums
Try to see a peyronies specialust for a diagnostic ultrasound as soon as possible as plaques are not always palpable.

Thanks for the reply TonySa. I've already read the guide. Unfortunately there is no such thing as "peyronies specialist" in my country. I believe healthcare system is quite different. My only option is to visit different urologists in different hospitals.

I've been reading every single topic on this forum and I discovered I have different symptoms that can be a sign of peyronies. Like "hard flaccid syndrom". Also, veins on my shaft looks more visible than before, I notice very thin and short, red colored veins just under my skin. Hard flaccid syndrom is not very clear for me, I feel my flaccid penis feels harder than it used to be, and a very mild pain is still there, but only when I think about it. Therefore, I figured maybe anxiety makes me imagine things. I am not even sure about the increase of curvature yet. I don't know, maybe I want to deny the problem deep down. Most posts here starts with "I have peyronies for X years now." But most people don't mention how it started, if there was a trauma they can remember, how much time did it take for a noticable curve to develop. I believe I may be in the early stages of the dissease but I would like to hear similar experiences before I decide to spend huge amounts of money and dedicate myself to a treatment. But of course I know, seeing another doctor, maybe a more experienced one, is the best option as you mentioned.

I know the results are different for everyone. But for me, my bend started much longer after my accident.  I injured my penis the same way, but the bend didn't start for about 8 months. However, during those 8 months I experienced pain during erections.  Almost like glass shattered in the head of my penis, then the pain went away and the bend began. Hopefully, your penis is only suffering from trauma and it will heal itself.  BUT keep a very close watch on it. You need to act quick.  It has taken me almost a year to talk about it out loud. We are here for you. This group has encouraged me to seek real help and made me fee comfortable with the conversations. Good luck. I hope to hear great news from you.

Thank you for your response and sharing your experience JCH. I guess most annoying thing about this is the uncertainty. If only I could knew whether my trauma will cause peyronies, I would at least begin searching for treatment options. But I know that if I see another doctor and tell him my concerns about peyronies, he would suggest waiting and keeping a close watch on it for some time. Right now only good thing is I don't have pain during erections, not on the tip,not on the shaft. Everything feels quite normal during erections. But penile pain when flaccid and hard flaccid syndrom is deffinetly there. Anyways, I'll be watching, also I downloade an app for measuring the angle of my penis, if I notice an increase, I guess it's time to ask for economic help from my parents.

Penile trauma is penile trauma and yes can lead to Peyronie's, even way down the road. Let your penis rest, no masturbation or sex for a while in my opinion. Treat it very carefully as if it's a broken arm. If you do notice a bend, you can use gentle traction, heat, and VED.

This may or may not be a long road for you, but typically men deal with these injuries for years. You really need to let it heal, which can take a long time.

Be careful with it, but try not to freak out either.

Nocekgari

Thank you for your advice and opinion NeoV. I wish I heard this advice a couple of weeks ago, because I indeed had sex and masturbated mainly to prove I can still perform those things. I agree with you about giving a rest to the penis, since it is possibly trying to heal itself still. I read stress can cause contraction in pelvic muscles and if can lead to hard flaccid syndrom. Which may explain why I experience this thing, I am under a lot of stress. I know you are right, only thing to do is wait.

I think I just spotted the plaque. It's in mid shaft, under the skin, unmoveable ring shaped hard tissue. When I move my skin, veins move with it but this thing is steady. It is approximetly 2 mm thick and almost make a perfect circle around the shaft. I am visiting another urologist tomorrow, but god, can't stop freaking out.

Nocekgari- I developed Peyronies Disease after a trauma very similar to yours.  Girl on top and I slipped out and she landed on my erect penis.  I did not hear a crack or experience significant sharp pain immediately but I had an immediate sense something was wrong. Within two days I had pain when I had an erection and I saw the beginning of a downward curvature within a week.  After 10-14 days I had a 35 degree downward bend and went to see a urologist after I freaked out and he confirmed Peyronies Disease.  He told me to not do anything for 6 months and come back then to discuss next steps when I was out of the acute stage.  There is a chance (I stress "chance") that you could heal on your own during the first 6 months.  I would check this board for info on some supplements that have had some success (e.g. pentox and perhaps generic viagra to keep up blood flow).  I also think reading NeoV's post on success with keto/intermittent fasting.... it is a good way to decrease inflammation in the body.  Bottom line... i would not do what I did and by and sit back and hope it cures itself.  I would be proactive as best you can.

Ultimately I received Xiaflex treatments and got close back to straight before Peyronies Disease came back and I had implant surgery 3 months ago (very successfully). I know how it feels to "freak out" and want this fixed immediately... unfortunately like other diseases we can"t fix it as quickly as we want.  Ask all the questions you can and search this board for other's experiences and successes.  Here to help as best I can

Curved, thank you for your response. I decided to take action after spending a day in this forum, thanks to people such as yourself. Unfortunately though, I can't afford a private urologist who specialized on Peyronies Disease. I couldn't even find one in my country, I guess healthcare system is different. But I will see a urologist tomorrow, this time I am not going to be satisfied without a diagnose. I tend to believe "it's just a scratch" sentence which is used by the previous urologist. Because I clearly show more symptoms each day. In my case, there is absouletly no pain during erections, in fact, I only feel normal and healthy during an erection. But flaccid state cause pain in the shaft. Hard flaccid and change in flaccid shape is real but Increased curve angle might be an illusion, at least I want it to be. Anyways, about 10 hours later, I will learn what is worng with my little buddy and I will update my first post.

Best of luck and good for you going to see someone and being proactive.  Look forward to hearing more.

Today I visited another urologist. He avoided saying a definite thing. "After such trauma, peyronies may occur, but at this point no way of knowing." This was what I expected to hear anyways. No hand examination this time,he only listened my story and looked at my flaccid penis. I had to describe what my penis looks like when I have an erection.

-vitamin e
-colchicum dispert 0.5 mg

This combo is my new friend from now on. I heard these two can be very effective in early stages, under 30 degrees curve and no Erectile Dysfunction patients. This is exactly where I am right now. Honestly, I didn't hear anything new from the doc, but still, made me feel relieved. At least I am starting treatment now, and thankfully I have found this amazing forum.

Those two supplements are not at all up to date by any standard. Do a bit more digging around here and consider CoQ10, ALCAR, Citrulline, or even pentox and low dose cialis and the physical therapies. Do NOT leave this up to your doctor or urologist. Spend as much time as you can on these forums, be careful and let your penis heal.

Nocekgari

NeoV thanks for your suggestion. I guess this is only the beginning, I heard colchicum is a highly toxic drug and since you mentioned it is not the most effetive one I will certainly look for other options. In a couple of days I may get a new job with health insurance, if this happens I will finaly be able to visit a specialist.
