Xiaflex and Restorex Treatment Method questions

My curvature is about 60~80 degrees upward with a bit to the right as well.

I had my first Xiaflex injections about 8 weeks ago but developed a blood blister under the head after 2nd injection. This made it very hard to do the hand modeling since it was in an area of folded skin that took a long time to heal. So my result from the first injection were not very good (if any).

So when I went in this week for my 2nd round I asked about using traction along with Xiaflex. My doc said I could try it but he thought not till after the 4~6 week mark when you are supposed be be able to have sex again. He also gave me a hand out for Restorex which they had just dropped off at his office that week. So really he had no real experience with it's use.
I went home that night and researched Restorex and found that it appears patients are using in closer to their Xiaflex injections than my doc indicated. I texted this info to my doc and he wrote me a prescription for the Restorex the next day. So I ordered it yesterday and should have it by the end of next week which would put it about a week after the Xiaflex injections.

So I have a few questions about the procedures being used with these treatments:

Xiaflex:

1) I am spacing my injections about 8 weeks apart so that I can have sex for a two week period before the next round since it is now recommend to not have sex for 6 weeks. Are others spacing this out as well and also waiting the 6 weeks to have sex?

2) Like I indicated, after my 2nd injection of the 1st round I developed a blood blister under the head. The doc placed that 2nd injection nearer the top so we decided to avoid that from now on. My doc is giving some local numbing injection and then giving the Xiaflex injection in one spot. Alternating sides between the 1st and 2nd shot. I have now read that some docs are spacing the injections in several places along the indicated side. What is the proper method? You know when he has gotten it into the plaque because it is hard for him to push it in. Does it need to be spread out?

Restorex:

1) My unit should be hear by the end of this week. This puts it at about 8 days after the last injection. Since this second cycle has gone a lot better than the first (no blood blister), I intend to start using the Restorex right away. What is the time period people are waiting to start using the Restorex after the cycle of injections?

Hand Modeling:

1) Per the instructions on the Xiaflex site the modeling consists of pulling when not hard and straightening opposite of bend when hard.

2) The non hard pulling is indicated as just straight. However, I have seen where some are pulling straight for a time and then bending opposite the bend for a time. I have started doing this and just using a finger on the opposite hand to bend it around. Are others using this method?

3) I have had ED for years and take Viagra. The Peyronies Disease has not made this worse or really effected it in any way. I still can get hard when using Viagra but just have the bends involved. I told my doc that I think I needed to take this at least once a week so I can do the when hard hand modeling and he agreed. However, I see where some people have been prescribed to take ED meds almost daily as part of their treatment, why is this?

Supplements:

1) I have read that some people are also taking over the counter supplement to help during treatment. Some that I find being talked about are Vitamin E, Co-Q-10, and Acetyl-L-Caritine. Is anyone using any of these as well and if so how much.


So my plan at this point is as follows but am looking for suggestions if it needs altering:

1) Xiaflex Injections every 8 weeks (already had the 1st two cycles)

2) Daily hand modeling consisting of 60 secs straight followed by 60 secs opposite bend wrapped around a finger. Basically I am doing it after I pee each time so many times a day.

3) Restorex for two 30 minute session a day. Starting just over week after injections

4) Supplements???

You should not expect any results are the 1 round, no matter what
I had sex 2 weeks after a round. No problems with that. Not sure why it was moved up. I just wanted to get the treatment over asap so that worked out well
I just did hand modeling. Worked out ok. 3 times per day. About 10 minutes per time. The doc did severe hand modeling after each injection. I think him doing that really helped me.
No nothing about Restorex
Find is strange that you are directing your doctor on what to do
I just take 200 iu of E. Daily TRT for low T Viagra when I have sex.
Seems that different methods can lead to good results. So what you and you doctor are doing may work out well
