Hi guys.
I have a question about  Xiaflex treatment.
I do not quite understand, Is treatment possible only if the plaque is soft?
What would be possible to pierce a plaque with a needle or perhaps a treatment even in very late stages of the disease when the plaque is hard ?

The main problem is the loss of size especially in diameter / girth.
Attempt to treat use  :  longidase with electrophoresis, colchicine, magnetic therapy, cryosauna, phonophoresis.

If you have calcified plaque the injection is more difficult and may not work effectively based on my experience and dr conversations

Thanks for the answer .
I just have a peyronie for 5 years, the problem is the loss of penis size.
I'm trying to figure out if I have hope to return my size in the future.

I was in the same boat.  Hoped Xiaflex would be my miracle, but I had calcified plaque that was spreading.  I did not want to wait and possibly lose any more length, so I searched out a specialist who recommended surgery.  I went that route a month ago

Successful surgery ?
My peyronie does not develop, without changes.
I have a moderate thickening of the tunica ,me and the doctor cannot feel the plaque using palpation, this is visible only on the ultrasound.

BUT nevertheless, I have significantly lost in  the size .

And I thought, theoretically, with my little plaque Xiaflex could completely destroy her and restore my old penis.
I am skeptical about this, but hope .....

Xiaflex is always worth a try if you are covered for it.  Try whatever you can and more importantly don't give up.  Everyone is different and what works for some does not for others.  Whatever you decide make sure you find the best doctor possible.  Good luck to you

I will say my surgery, 4 weeks in, was successful in that I am now straight.  I am now modeling to get my elasticity back, and when I am fully healed I hope to see that I didn't lose much length

Have you seen a specialist yet?  Someone who specializes in Peyronie's?

I visited about 7 doctors .
Half of them were useless.
I had treatment in a private clinic but not for long.
I quit treatment after I learned that this disease is incurable (Incurable using traditional treatment).

I would see if you can find an andrologist if possible.  Wouldn't hurt

NASQW, peyronies is treatable w the right doc.  The approach has to be tailored to the individual and their circumstances.  Check out the survival guide:  Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums

I had 5 rounds of Xiaflex. Plaque is hard. Calcified plaque is like cement. Xiaflex can soften regular plaque so it can be molded. I have some calcification so mine did not turn out perfectly straight. Makes me ill that I went through that crap and I am still not straight as I would like. Still much better off than before treatment. Like Dix said everybody responds differently to any of these treatments. Sometimes things go terribly wrong with any treatment
5 Rounds of Xiaflex. Good results.
