I went to a world renowned peyronies specialist and he did a physical exam and flaccid ultrasound and didn't find any plaques.  I have noticed that many of you have done an erect ultrasound as well, is this worth doing in addition to what I have done or is a flaccid ultrasound usually sufficient?

Flaccid is fine for diagnosing peyronies, but an erect ultrasound is needed to diagnose ED.
PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.
Pump failed.  2/11/20 Dr Karpman installed Titan 22cm +1cm RTE.

ah ok, so more vascular issues rather than scarring?

Also, is ultrasound generally considered better than MRI and X ray for this?

Thanks

Yes, erect to look at Vascular flow, specifically venous leakage.  Do you have any symptoms?

My symptoms are a couple small hard lumps and I do have some symptoms that sound like venous leak but my urologist (Dr. Tom Lue) said it was pelvic tension causing my problems so maybe that is why he didn't do an erect test or MRI/Xray.

Dr Lue is vey knowlegeable and a peyronies expert, I'd def trust his diagnosis and recommendations!

Yeah, It seems I'm overthinking it.  The first urologists I saw weren't especially helpful but Dr. Lue seemed very Knowledgeable.  I suppose if he suspected anything wrong he would have done more tests.  He would be a doctor who would most likely be able to diagnose mild cases right?

Thanks for your input!

TonySa, do most doctors not even do an ultrasound?  I went to 2 other urologists before Dr. Lue and they just did a physical examination with no ultrasound.  I have thought about getting one more opinion because I still don't know what the small hard nodules I have are but it seems that most urologists won't do imaging

In my book, if they don't do ultrasounds...they are not a specialist.  Trust Dr Lue and his ultrasound!

Yeah, it was such a lengthy and expensive process going through all of this the first time in order to get to a true specialist that I probably shouldn't put myself through that again.  Also, the average urologist at the local strip mall probably won't be much help anyway.

Could it be worth seeing Dr. Lue again for him to take another look or am I really overthinking this?

Thanks again for the advice, I'll stop asking questions on the topic...I've just been a bit anxious recently
