hi, im 26 years old and have had peyronies for as long as i can remember.  When i was an adolescent i noticed my penis curved up and to the left and i was mostly concerned that i wouldn't be able to have sex.  when i first had sex i had no troubles at all.  Later on down the road i started having trouble with doggy style sex.  my partner told me that i was hurting her in this position.  i've read and read read about how people are so concerned with there bent penis.  the bend is not necessarily the problem, it's the loss of elasticity of the tissue.  when im erect, my penis WILL not bend at all.  it's hard as a rock.  sadly, the older i get the worse it seems to get.  im now noticing that my penis has been getting smaller and smaller.  I've tried bending my penis to break up the plaque or whatever and that hasn't seemed to work.  i've thought about buying a penis stretcher but i'm afraid that it will only make things worse.  has anyone considered limiting the blood flow to the penis?  i don't know if this is possible but i know that if im only semi erect my penis is more flexible and im able to have doggy style sex.  this dosen't happen often!!!  i wholeheartedly believe that there is a natural way to cure this disease enough to experience much better sex.  if anyone has any suggestions feel free to post.  i'd greatly appreciate it!!

Hey Natedawg,

A lot of people do have curves and this doesn't prevent satisfactory intercourse. It also depends on the anatomy of the girl as well. The general rule is anything less than 30 degrees is not severe. In terms of the hardening, I would get a penile doppler ultrasound to show if any plaque or scar tissue exists.

Go to a male sexual function specialist such as Dr. levine in Chicago or Dr. Lue in San Francisco and they can determine what, if any, problems exists.

Pentox and l-arginine may soften the penis, and they increase bloodflow. Decreased bloodflow is horrible for your penis. You do not want to attempt intercourse with a softer erection because that is where the most damage occurs.

natedawg4657,

It isn't unusual that you have a slight curve. A lot of guys have some curve. And if you have been this way as long as you can remember then you probably were born this way. This is called a congenital curve and it isn't Peyronies Disease. This is the natural way your Tunica is shaped and you aren't going to be able to bend it or break anything up.

And being rock hard at the age of 26 is also very normal. When I was young we joked and called this a "WD" (wedding dick). It's hard because your penis is full of blood and working correctly. So don't assume anything is wrong, and don't assume you have Peyronies Disease. We can provide more details if you have further questions.

In the meantime, if you want to be more flexible during different sex positions, then have missionary or oral sex for your first or second orgasm (during the same sexual encounter). You'll become less hard and more flexible for the 2nd + orgasm.

Another word of advice for you. Do not, repeat not, try to physically bend your erect penis thinking that it will help with the curve. Doing this is one sure way of causing more trauma to anotherwise perfect penis as far as an erection is concerned.

You can actually "break" the tunica area in such a way that will surely cause plaque and/or nodules to develop even if you do not have any now. So be forewarned about any further physical trauma to your most prized personal possession.

i am almost positive i have peyronies.  why is it that when i was younger i could have sex in the doggy style position just fine and now i cant?  im almost positive that i have this curve from excessive masturbation.  i don't know what my penis looked like when i was very young.  i din't worry about what the shape and size of my penis was at that age.  after i found masturbation (which was kinda late i think for most people around 15-16) i noticed my dick was curved.  which makes me think masturbation caused this.  my sex drive is very low.  i dont have much desire to have sex or masturbate anymore.  i do masturbate occasionally just not as frequently as i used to.  i hope it isn't peyronies i've always thought that it was and can't see how it isn't.

What you are describing about your loss of libido can be caused by many things. However, from your description it sounds like to me that age is taking its toll on it. As one ages, the libido decreases accordingly. Sometimes, a lack of testosterone can and will cause lessor sexual desire.

Now about masturbation causing curvature of ones penis: According to my uro group, masturbation in and of itself cannot cause ones penis to curve. However, if one has a curve from birth and never practiced masturbation, the curve might not have been so pronounced and noticed, etc. However after getting more concerned about ones penile health, the curve would take on more attention.

So, unless your curve is excessive, you should pay more attention to the loss of libido and get that function started again. ED can become a very devastating problem on my one psyche. I would suggest that you consult with your uro or a sex therapist doctor for a consultation to determine the cause of your problem.

I agree with old man. You may want to focus on your loss of libido. You haven't said at waht angle you think your curve is. There are other threads that suggest how to measure this. I think you would have noticed a visible change from the time that  doggy style was ok until the time that your partner complained. My question would be did she complain from day 1, and if so maybe her anatomy is such that the problem is on her end. Don't assume all females are made the same as well. This could also be how erect (hard) you are and at what angle your erection stands from your body. Assuming a population of men all have straight erections (e.g. no Peyronies Disease curve)......  the variation on erection angles can still vary widely from 0 degrees (straight out horizontal to the floor when standing) to maybe 80 degrees which is almost pointing straight up.

If you go to wikipedia.com and look up "Peyronie's Disease" you will a picture of someone with Peyronies and about a 60 degree curve.

Below is a web site where you can view hundreds of penises in various states of erection. But, be careful not to click on any of the porn links in order that you don't get some virus downloaded to your computer. The main pages are virus free, but I cannot vouch for the porn links, so stay away from them and only use the penis pictures pages.

The web site is:  www.ejacu.com

On this site, you can see penises in many sizes, shapes and poses up and including ejaculation ones. I have referred quite a number of guys to this site just for the purpose of showing them what many men have in the form of penises, etc.

natedawg, I realized you said you had tried to bend your erection to help straighten it. I would have to warn you just as OldMan did, that is a very risky maneuver. Not even a straight and healthy penis should be forced to bend while erect. I really wish I had the mercy of knowing that back before I was about 17yrs old. I Could have avoided a lot of past trauma to mine.
Your question about less blood flow is not a sure treatment. I have understood clearly that loss of blood flow for extensive time is very harmful and known to cause fibrosis in the corporeal bodies (erectile chambers).
If you are thinking of just reducing the blood flow enough to reduce your erection from full rigid tumescence to a less rigid (softer) tumescence, that may be worth inquiring/studying up on. In my case I suffer with more pain and much less sensation in my penis if I allow it to reach a full rigid tumescence. My best level of sensation is just as my erection begins to develop. I read up on this out of my own curiosity. I found accounts from men who discovered that their penis does not need to reach erection in order for them to have an orgasm. Amazing! Infact, some of them experienced multiple orgasms before their ejaculation occurred. These men were typically having physiological erectile disfunction (a physical issue made it difficult or unlikely for them to attain erection. Of-course they could not manage much vaginal penetration. My wife and I read a book that two Dr's. authored (husband and wife actually) telling of his prostate cancer recovery. He was one of these men.
