When getting a penile implant, do they remove/minimize the plaque?

My penis is uneven in terms of girth and my plaque is in a convenient place where that large lump makes up for the loss of thickness in my base. When they give you an implant, do they somehow remove the plaque or just ignore it?

Generally, it is ignored since any additional surgery increases the risk of infection and nerve damage and later scar tissue formation.

My experience is that a Titan immediately corrected a significant dent in the base of my shaft.  I had no real palpable plaque, however.  The more skilled high volume doctors will sometimes use incision and remolding but seldom excision or grafting.
