Head brushing against Underwear - Driving me Crazy...

Hi All -

I went to my doctor in October re the peyronies - and found out that Xiaflex was covered - but I'd have to pay quite a bit to meet the deductible on my lousy insurance.  So I decided to wait until the beginning of the year - and do it then - this way I'd meet my deductible toward the beginning of the year...   So all was well - I was going to wait to deal with it then - until...

Just about a week ago - I think my upward curve is getting worse - so that the head of my penis is parallel now and brushing against my underwear - so I'm constantly tucking it back down - against the upward bend - like it used to be - so there isn't parallel rubbing of the head against the underwear - I'm even doing that in my sleep now...  Does this make sense?  It's a mental obsession more than a physical pain and it just started.

Does anybody have any tricks to temporarily push the bend down, just sticking whatever in my underwear - I've tried a few things - bandages - socks whatever - nothing seems to work.  Though wearing gym shorts without underwear when I can seems to be best.

Thanks for any help...

I don't sleep with under ware on. Under ware can make you have more erections in your sleep. You're not awake so you can straighten yourself out. I have been sleeping in the nude a long time now. Way before I got peyronies
5 Rounds of Xiaflex. Good results.

I am known to give out false information and post nonsense with little to no evidence to back up my claims.

I'm just curious, even though you are waiting to do Xiaflex have you been doing Traction or VED in the mean time to assist in keeping your curvature from progressing? It seems this would benefit you.

And daily low dose PDE5 inhibitors.  All will go well w xiaflex when you get started in Jan.  Also, ask forbthe manufacturers discount to help w your deductible.  Also, check out what your yearly max out of pocket is as once you hit they they have to pay any balances.

Hi Stabler - No I haven't been doing traction and I didn't get a VED - I was going to but then - I was kind of overwhelmed with everything on the forums I just decided to see what the doctor said - who just mentioned the Xiaflex...  But I will look into getting a VED though, that's cool to still do once I start the Xiaflex?

Thanks TonySa!  Is the PDE5 something that I would ask from my urologist?

TonySa

Yes, any MD can prescribe...such as viagra or cialis.  VED or traction is good to add to xiaflex-esp traction.
