Septal plaque? Please help
« on: November 23, 2018, 02:31:39 AM »

Hi everyone, I really need a clear cut answer to this. I'm 22, It started 8 months ago when I bent my penis during sex, and felt an indent a few weeks later with a one time shooting pain when I touched it. That seems to have gone away, but now I am worried about a potential septal plaque near the top.

It feels like a slightly lumpy area around my dorsal vein (or the ligament that runs inside). There is also a possible indent which may have been there directly in the center of my penis. It gets harder when I'm erect. I had some mild discomfort for a few months, but it could have been from checking. I currently have no pain, there is no curvature and I can have sex, but I am deathly scared that this could get worse. I feel like my erections look different or if there is a center plaque they will be shorter. Do I really have to worry about peyroines 8 months after the possible injury? I have an anxiety disorder and this really makes me depressed and anxious all the time. Please please help with some feedback

Hi, I know nobody has replied, but, I recommend this, measure your penis with a tape measure and take pictures and just keep an eye on it. If you have pictures and notes of the dimensions of your penis fully erect length and girth it can help rest your mind. In the meanwhile, I recommend just let nocturnal erections take care of the healing process. Also, take it easy during sex and masturbation, only when you are fully erect and what not. Honestly, healing such a sensitive area full of blood will take a while. I'm having to take it easy too. I get erections easily and get them while sleeping, I think I'm also going to start working out too again after a year break to increase blood flow and promote inflammation reduction. Besides that, treat this how you would treat a scrape or any other wound. Don't touch too often and take it easy. May take a year or longer to get back to function as long as you don't have susceptibility to Peyronies Disease. A lot seems like poor wound healing from a lot of guys and of course stress. Right now I'm just dealing with hourglassing semi erect SOMETIMES, not all the time. I wake up with erections and stuff and can get them easily when I'm sitting and stuff. Anyways, I hope I help you relax. Also, if you want to promote bunch of bloodflow, you can take a little of Cialis, that helps with inflammation reduction. Blood is the best healer tbh.

Icd, sorry you hadn’t had a response right away.  I agree w program4005 you most likely just need to keep an eye on it.  After 8 months you’re probably stabilized and shouldn’t have any progression if you don’t re-injure.  A peyronies specialist could do an ultrasound to confirm septal plaque, but probably only needed if you notice any changes.  Measurements help us keep it accurate without our fears overriding our view.  If you want more info check out the survival guide and please keep us posted.  Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forumshttp://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057

Definitely agree with that as well. Monday is like inflammation of the vessels, and that could affect erections as well. Tends not to be painful, but, can be during sex and masturbating. I hope he gets a better look at it from a doctor. They could palpate and also taking photos and measurements. Anyways we're here man in case you need help! :)

Thanks for the replies everyone. At nearly 2 months since this post and 10 since the initial injury there have been no changes. Original indent area seems to have healed or isn't noticable, as one poster put it I could have had natural "limited scar tissue" as a result of injury. There is still a lump dead center of the top shaft below my glans, but only palpable when semi erect or after sex/masturbation. I suppose this could actually be mondors? I would assume if it was peyroines the lump would be there all the time  and wouldn't grow during an erection. Would you guys with experience say at this time it's safe to say I'm clear from peyroines? Let me know what you think. Thank you again.

2 months and you haven't seen a doctor? Nobody here can diagnose your problem . You need a Doctors exam. Maybe test run. Don't start doctoring yourself. You could make things worse

Yes, lcd please put your mind at ease. See a doctor. We're more of a support forum, we're not able to diagnose over the internet, only speculate which doesn't help. We're here for support and to give our experiences! :) A duplex ultrasound can rule out mondors disease as well as Peyronies and issues with penile bloodflow easily. It's the only way to get a definitive answer ATM.

It's very strange. It is almost as if it seems to come and go, maybe depending on temperature. I feel as though going to a doctor would be a waste of time as they would not take me seriously. It isn't so much of a lump as it seems like a denser part of my tissue, dead center. I only noticed it after fearing Peyronie's on another part of my penis. I feel it all the time and it hasn't noticably changed. I'm torn on what to do.

Once again, we cannot diagnose over the internet. If you feel the doctor is a waste, even though the Peyronies specialists take their time to research everything and understand how to find your underlying issue, then there is nothing anyone on this forum can do for you. We all recommend visiting a specialist, not just any urologist, a Peyronies specialist to see how bad the damage is.

You need to get rid of that fear, that the doctor won’t take you seriously. It’s their job, they will listen to you and try to give you the best treatment option.

And as said previously, you absolutely need to find a specialist in this field. I don’t know if it is same in the US like in Europe, but here we have andrologists. They are specialised in penile deformities and are best trained for Peyronie’s/congenital.

With no pain or deformity I can't imagine I'd be taken too seriously. I went to a doctor maybe 8 months ago who quickly dismissed it. I'm starting to think a lot of this could be in my head.

Try not to worry. Get a hobby. Have fun. Enjoy life. When and if it starts to curve or the pain comes back , then go see a doctor. You can have sex right now. Yea maybe it is all in your head instead of your dick. Seems that your dick has healed up and moved on. You do the same!

Okay, that's good. But yes, if you notice anything at all weird about your penis, pain, or discomfort get to the urologist, if it's serious the urologist will give you a referral to a Peyronies Disease specialist. In the meanwhile, don't do anything dangerous with your penis, take it easy with sex and masturbation. Slow and easy. Also none of the pseudoscience penile exercises which accounts for a lot of the young guys on this forum. The penis isn't a muscle. It's a pressure system (corpus cavernosum) entrapped by the tunica albugenia. If any of these are messed with it could cause erectile dysfunction. I believe most of those guys that get "gains" are naturally growing. Like it's apart of their genetics, some people are late bloomers. Anyways I don't trust some random ppl's "research" on a forum with something so delicate like the penis. Just my warning and to everyone else who tries that crap.

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd update on this thread. It's been about 2 more months and I haven't noticed any changes. That lump in the middle I was worried about is still there, but only appears during and after an erection? Could this be lymph?

Only other thing that concerns me is certain positions (girl on top) seem to stress out the area I was worried about and are more difficult than about a year ago in ways that they didn't before, unless I'm misremembering which is possible. Visually I don't think there's any changes.

I still feel the original dent/hourglass in the bottom where I did a year ago, but it could also be a combination of shape and veins. I haven't lost any length, haven't measured girth. The lump just concerns me. I don't know what this means, but it has also been a year since initial injury. In your opinions do you think I'm ok at this point?

Sorry for the late reply, but, if you're feeling fine and haven't had any changes you should be just fine. If you want to out your mind at ease an ultrasound can see blood flow as well as limited scar tissue. MRI will help with seeing scar tissue I'm greater detail like in the corpus cavernosum.
