I have an embarrassing bathroom problem that I think relates to Peyronies. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

I take my time using public urinals to completely empty my bladder as best as I can, then give my penis the standard four good shakes and put back into place only to feel a shot of urine go into my underwear.  I think the plaque, about 2/3 down the shaft, creates a dam that holds back a enough urine to soak through my underwear and dress pants.  As you can imagine, I don't like wearing light gray or khaki pants because a two inch diameter wet spot is so obvious.

This is a constant reminder that I have a broken penis.

i feel you. A late drip is often an issue. I also like to not wear underwear lately... i know the feeling. As you said, anything that remembers you the condition, it's the real bother.... i feel you.

I have had a similar problem since my prostatectomy 9 years ago. Things that I have found that help are
1)Sit to pee.  I won't do that in a public restroom but elsewhere.
2)Squeegie your urethra. Start as far back as you can and squeeze your dick with your forefinger over your urethra and slide it down to the end the squeeze out the last drop.
3)Flex you dick muscles like your are shooting cum or trying to make your dick bounce up and down. Sometimes that shoots out the last few drops.

Others have told me they do both of these now too. Another person told me he always stops and gets a piece of toiled paper or towel before going to the urinal and dabs the end dry after he wrings out the last drops with his fingers.

Hey guys:

Just read the post with the ''complaints'' about the post pee dripping. Also, there is the problem called urinary incontinence after a radical prostatectomy. As my age has accumulated after my radical surgery in 1995 the ''pee'' squirts after urinating havee increased. It has gotten to the point that it is most embarrassing to even try NOT TO WEAR A UNINARY PAD TO CATCH THE DRIPS/RUNS!!

So, to combat this problem I have started using an incontinence pad made by the Tena corporation. Some days I use only one pad and other days I use more. A few years ago, I helped the design  engineers of this company develop a triangular shaped pad that is very comfortble to wear with very little irritation. They are made in several sizes to accomodate various levels of body sizes too.

So, I am passing this information along to those of you who ''suffer'' the problem of leaking, etc. If anyone is interested in how to obtain these pads, PM me for the source and pricing.

I have bags of pads for men my wife bought me but did not like sitting on a saddle.  Sometimes I would stuff a paper towel in my shorts.  I only have the issue is I stand to pee. It is manageable if I sit to pee. Others I've told about it said they also sit to pee to deal with it. Cheers.

Hey Jeffk,

I have similar problems as yours since around 6 years ago now (and I'm 31...); Peyronies Disease declared 14 months ago. In the meatime, I learnt, through suffering, a lot of tricks to reduce those awful pee symptoms (which even include 3-6 late drops of urine like 2 or 3 minutes after peeing):
- Stop masturbation;
- Stop tea, coffee, and any diuretic;
- Reduce or stop inflammatory food (which happened to be, for me: dairy, red meats, eggs, alcohol and especially beer and white wine);
- Try phytotherapy mixes in tablet (there are a lot of them now, like prostamol, etc.; they do work for me, but might reduce androgens, so I stopped using them);
- Take daily low Cialis, which is good to Peyronie's and pee symptoms;
- Lose body fat (yep).
--> All of this reduce my symptoms by around 50 - 80%.

--> And don't forget to have your prostate fully checked (rectal check, PSA, etc.).

PS : Among other experiences, I've gone fully vegan for almost one week now; my pee symptoms seem to have drastically reduced, but it's way too early to tell if it's related with my diet, said that these urinary symptoms are very sinusoidal in my case... I'll keep you updated of course.

Gabriel,
Okay, from your list I have no chance of solving my problem:
- Love coffee
- Love cheese and yogurt
- Masturbation, I'm a normal guy
- Loosing 5-10 pounds to make ideal BMI is beyond tough.

Thanks for the information.

I suffer from "terminal dribbling" too and I developed this uncomfortable symptom after building up a plaque from peyronie's.

I don't know how lots of Gabriel's recommendations could be useful to you. Nofap, low dose cialis and body fat's percentage have no connection at all with urinary symptoms as far as I know.

You first have to sort out what's the cause of your problem (it could be related to the bladder, to the urethra or to the prostate). One of the first things you could do is getting a uroflowmetry prescribed. It's a non-invasive exam and it could sort out problems to the urethra, getting you to approach further the root of the problem.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Gabriel

Hey jeffk,

Haha I understand you: I used to LOVE coffee, cheese and masturbation, and have all of them everyday, even several times a day (although not in the same time  ::)). Now I do allow myself coffee and cheese from time to time, and it's not a big deal (my symptoms go back up, then down); I absolutely have no masturbation cravings anymore though!

Werther, the other very purpose of tadalafil is to alleviate the symptoms of BPH, mostly by relaxing the smooth muscles in the bladder/prostate area, and thus significantly influencing urinary tract and terminal dribbling. I can attest of this effect, as I see a significant difference when I'm on Cialis and when I'm not for a few days.

About nofap and reducing bodyfat, I'm not talking science (we're not uros, and not here to be some^^), but only experience: I certainly can't explain it, but after 6 years or more I can very positively tell that I get less terminal dribbling and pelvic inflammation sensation when I don't masturbate, when I'm lean and when I manage my diet. I'm not saying this will work for everyone, just stating that if it worked for me, it might work for another folk :-)

PS: Even more crazy: I'm one week into full organic vegan diet, and my urinary/CPPS symptoms (especially terminal dribbling) continue to decrease (!!!). That's a huge surprise for me, as I did not expect it at all and, all the more because I drank quite a bit saturday night (which usually multiplicates my post-urinary pant-peeing by 2 or 3 for a few days). No good sign on Peyronies Disease yet, I'm a little fed up with veggies and meat subsitutes, but I think I'm going to maintain it for a while to continue the experience.

Another factor is to depress on the perineum area behind your testicles.  You can often do that even with a hand that is in your pocket.  If that extracts more urine then that is doing the same thing that Kegel exercises do and you can strengthen those muscles.

I agree on the pernineal area of the urethra and I squeegie that first working my way to the end. I sometimes think after the prostatectomy and as we age, things sag and the urethra starts to get a dip in it like a sink trap.  I have to skip a point progressing from the perineal area to penis as I run into the implant tubing. Still, wringing it out if possible is a better approach if possible than an afternoon in pee stinking wet underwear or pads. When sitting I lean forward slightly which seems to help too.

Hawk and Alibaba,
Thanks for the advice of pressing on the perineal area from back to front after urinating, it makes sense.  With some practice, I'll let you know if it's keeping my underwear and pants dry.

I had this exact issue after my condition too. Strangely enough it improved after a few weeks on Pentox. Not sure if that's related.

I have heard regular kegels may help.

Yes, Ive had this issue for years. Though very minor...occasionally and I dunno why ill get more dribble than usual...but Ive been doing this for months and can say that it almost elliminated the problem.

My personal take is that as we age, our ligaments get weaker and things sag down through the hole in our pelvis and leave us with a "trap" like under a sink. After the prostatectomy the ligiments that attach the prostate to the pelvis that hold everything in place are cut off. The attachment to the rectum is also cut. Rectum wall is about 1/2 thickness when they do that which is one reason they require stool softeners and no suppositories or thermometers up your ass till that thickens. I know after mine, it felt like a giant hole where the prostate came out. Over time, the bladder has fallen down in that hole.  With a catheter, It is easy to feel where the sphincter for the bladder is now. Basically, with no attachment points, everything now sags and falls into whatever spaces in the pelvic floor it can find. I can stand on my head and my perineal area will turn into a bowl because everything now unattached, shifts whichever direction gravity slings it. There are pelvic slings surgically implanted for this issue. Some have told me they work, some say not, some say they had to have them redone and some say they had to have an artificial urinary sphincter installed afterward. All say it is a very difficult and painful surgery to heal from as most surgeries in between your ass and balls are. There are many lawsuits pertaining to this surgery too. Once again, this is an area where I am told an open prostatectomy by a good surgeon is best because they repair the damage as they go. Robotically, the repair nothing, just remove and let the rest fall into the pelvic floor. I am 10 years into this discussion and dealing with it.
