VED and Heat questions

Do erections serve the same purpose as the VED? Also is it okay to use a VED in the acute phase? Because my penis is much more fibrotic when cold, should I avoid the cold so their is better blood flow? I'm thinking I should start getting some hand warmers to have all day. From a lot of what I've read, it seems that good blood flow is necessary to keep things from getting worse.

Some use heat before VED to start the blood flowing.  One study using heat (lamps) w 2/week showed some improvement in curve.  Therefore, many have added heat Tx to their regimen.  Hot hands are popular and seem to be hot enough, but not too hot like the foot warmers.  Others use rice socks, etc
