Worried89

Hello everyone,

29 y/o from NYC here. I've been getting concerned about a habit I've had for a bit, and wanted to know if it's possible for it to cause Peyronies Disease. Every so often I'll develop pimples on the underside of my shaft that I'll squeeze until little sticks of white pus emerge. While I always thought this was harmless, when I developed Peyronies Disease back in 2016 I just assumed it was due to some sex where I probably injured myself.

However, the more I think about it, the more I'm wondering if it's possible that, whenever I would squeeze a pimple on the shaft, I might have in fact been squeezing, and therefore mildly tearing, the tunica. I couldn't find anything on the web when searching except for notices not to squeeze pimples on one's penis due to risk of infection and scarring (the latter I assume meaning an aesthetic scar, not Peyronies Disease scar tissue).

Because I have OCD, I find it difficult to just ignore pimples. But if anyone has any info on this somewhat odd issue, I'd appreciate it. Can it cause Peyronies Disease? If I'm squeezing a pimple mildly until pus comes out while flaccid, can it actually be tearing the tunica, or is just the surface skin? Thanks.

Hawk

Peyronies Disease can be caused by real trauma to the tunica and in theory, it can be triggered (not really caused) by micro-trauma.  That means if you have a strong predisposition to develop Peyronies Disease a micro-trauma could trigger it.  Having said that, if you have that strong of an underlying predisposition then vigorous sex is likely to trigger it.

You certainly know better than any of us if you are actually exerting trauma to your tunica while squeezing a pimple on your skin but that seems pretty unlikely to me.

Thanks for your input. I've never squeezed to the point of pain, it never swelled or got red, and I certainly squeezed shaft pimples in the past before 2016 without a trace of peyronie's. I was just wondering if structurally, there is sufficient room between the skin and the tunica to negate the possibility of injury. I.E. when i'm squeezing it and slightly lifting the skin off, I assume the tunica isn't being lifted also? I always thought it was stuck to the corpus cavernosa.

Also, I'm on Pentox 400mg 3x day and 5mg cialis, and have been for almost a year. Do you know if Pentox is known to prevent the initial formation of plaque in addition to reducing plaques that have already formed?

If you use the quote feature, be sure to follow my example and use only the part of the quote you need rather than quoting an entire post over.

Pentox can prevent new plaques BUT it is like every drug.  It is not equally effective in every case with every person.  the best initial information you can know is in our Peyronies Disease Survival Guide here.

Will do, my bad. I'm still wondering if anyone has had a similar experience, as it's making me nervous as hell. I know it's probably unlikely but it would be great to get a definitive answer to this issue.

I started this site 15 years ago.  I have heard a lot of things but I have never heard of anyone causing Peyronies Disease from squeezing pimples.  I dod not believe that is what triggered it but I would stop.  If you need to get professional help for OCD and or transfer to another OCD behavior and leave your penis alone..

I agree completely with Hawk, it's doubtful but I'd try to stop it if you can.  Have you gotten any techniques for coping w OCD from a counselor that you can try?

I have OCD as well. My best method of changing habits is simply to channel my OCD into something else. Try that, if it's less destructive it can only help you.
