Regaining dimensions with VED: possibilities

Hi everyone,

My VED device (Somacorrect) should arrive this week and I'm looking forward to getting started with it. I'm mainly eager to restore girth, but any improvement with the curve and length are welcome too. I have a few questions though:

1) Is it possible to restore your orgininal dimensions with VED? I remember reading Old Man managed to do so, but what do you guys think?

2) I heard that results gained with VED tend to be only temporary if not maintained by daily usage of the device. Why is this and is there a way to make it permanent? For comparison: traction is based on somewhat the same principle and the PTT results do seem to be permanent.

Thanks!

From what I've read the results seem to be permanent, although I may be wrong. As far as original dimensions, it can be achieved but not by all (again going by what I've read) but I'd say you should be able to at the least gain some of it back. Apparently it takes a long time (6-12 months+) to see full results.

If you can link to Old Man saying he managed to get original dimensions back as well as VED being temporary I'd be very interested in reading those posts.

VED is a great physical therapy, are you adding pentox, low dose daily PDE5 inhibitor or other approaches/supplements to maximize treatment?
PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.
Pump failed.  2/11/20 Dr Karpman installed Titan 22cm +1cm RTE.

Thanks for your reactions.

@JS
I will look for the post of Old Man on the forum, I can't find it back immediately but it's out there somewhere.
Concerning the improvements being temporary for some guys: some people told me you have to maintain your gains daily.
I mean it's good that you improve, but you would prefer permanent gains of course.

@Tsanchez
At the moment I'm taking pentox 2 or 3 times (400mg) a day.
To optimize treatment I added Q10 (100mg, 2 or 3 times daily) to this.
I'll restart with daily tadalafil (5mg) soon too if it doesn't let my blood pressure go too low in combo with the Q10 (I heard that's possible).
I got my schedule for college today and it seems I don't have many hours so I'll be looking for a traction device too.

I can talk just from my experience.
With VED, Pentox and low dose Cialis got back 1.5 cm.
Now I am using VED from time to time, the gain is there, permanent.

Was that length or girth? My main problem is girth loss via hourglassing, so I'm hoping that can be at least partially regained.

Hi, I regained the 1.5 inch lost when Peyronies Disease hit me, also gained over a inch in girth.

That's great to hear! Was the inch of girth a gain from your baseline, or was that something you had lost due to Peyronie's that you gained back? And was this inch of girth gained uniformly throughout your penis? Also, how many months did it take? Thanks for the help!

Hi JS1991, yes the girth gain was above my normal girth, the full length and glans increased, thats why i had problems using the 'C' cylinder.

ConcernedandWorried

How are your erections, Monty? I've heard before about people who enlarge their penises with these devices, and often they lose the ability to have hard erections. That is exactly what is making me hesitant to use it to treat my Peyronie's. It's not even clear to me what exactly the mechanism is with these devices that helps to treat the condition. What are they changing? Is there any science here?

diehardpatriot

Lots of science here man. The traction induced smooth muscle cell growth for one. Secondly the sheer act of stretching out the bundled up scar tissue is also a reason for regained length
Penis injury in late 2017. A lump formed at injury site that caused no deformity, just pain and a palpable lump. Pain is improving through proper rest and use, diet, and mindfulness. I am always learning and looking to share things that have helped.

ConcernedandWorried

Patriot, when should I be using these, then? Do I wait for the acute phase to complete?

Pfract

Yeah, lots of science but no pictures... Few if, any. ''oh, I gained this and that back ''.... But no pictures. Only text.

Monty

@ concernedandworried,
I suffer from ED so I don't get hard normal erection, I take 50 mg of Sildenafil every other day, this gives me fantastic erection, they seem to stay active for around 10 hours, so i get great morning erections as a bonus.

Gabriel

Hey pfract,

I agree it would be even better with pictures, but we do have at least "potentially reliable" studies, and overall we have a lot of testimonies here from a lot of people who have been spending a huge amount of time on the forum, who claim to have improved with traction, and whose honesty is not something that can be discussed (NeoV, TSanchez, and many others)...

So yes, we can stand that traction does work for some, and maybe for many; wheter it works on you, and to what extent, is something you have to find for yourself, following a thorough and rigourous protocol for months. Only after that, you can claim "it works / doesn't work on me". And I do hope it'll work for you, and I do hope it'll work for me^^!

ConcernedandWorried

Gabriel, what are these improvements? If I've lost an inch, what is the best case scenario for my recovery? I can't seem to find any information here. Most importantly, I can't find any attestation from young people. My hope is that as someone under 30, my potential for recovery is somewhat greater than the average sufferer of this disease.

Gabriel

Hey buddy,

If you've lost an inch, your best case scenario is to recover an inch. Period^^! And wheter you are young or old.

There are people here who will answer you with a personal story and experience (me, I'm still struggling with inflammation and trying to minimize the loss; recovering will come later). If I'm not mistaken, Monty recovered a lost inch, as Tsanchez; and I guess Old Man too recovered more than an inch with VED. Oh and Swiss too, who recovered and even gained length.

I let all these good people speak for themselves. I just wanted to tell you: it's absolutely logical to be upset, concerned, worried; but no, it's not an obligation to remain in this state of mind for the time that Peyronies Disease will last.

And yes, it's normal and logical to absolutely want to control or anticipate your case, but the thing is, the sooner you understand that you can't, the better for you. Psychologically, Peyronies Disease is all about learning to live, and even (later) to live happy, with a total incapacity to anticipate what your penis will look like in 6 months. There are things that are under your control, and that you must thoroughly do (traction, pills, lifestyle...); there are things which aren't, and you are going to learn to live with them, with less and less pain, and finally with calm and equanimity.

And all along this way, we'll be there for advice and support ;-)

Okay, so, are the (re)gains then permanent? I'm seeing conflicting information here. Honestly, I'd rather get used to my penis being smaller than have to regularly wear a ridiculous device for hours on end.

Monty

Hi, i use mt VED for 15 minutes a day, have keep my re-gains for the last 9 months or so, if i have to carry on with the 15 minutes daily then i don't mind, i get pleasure from using my VED, it feels good to exercise my penis each morning .

lostit

hey Monty, for 15 minutes daily...do you inflate and release or keep it inflated

JS1991

To be safe, you should pump and release. People have injured themselves holding. I'm debating getting a VED with a pressure gauge to see if it makes a difference, because apparently anything in the 5(whatever the measurement is; hG I think)+ range of pressure can cause edema.
