Hi!

I have dealt with peyronies a while now and I'm lost for answers as of what to do. Here's my story...

I'm 43 years old living in Sweden. I have always had an upwards curve. A little short of a year ago I started having ED. I took some tests and it showed that I'm a bit low in testosterone - in the normal range but just on the mark of insufficient levels. Started testosterone replacement (gel) and the levels went up. The ED was still a problem though and I noticed a dent on the underside of the penis and also a more sharp bend upwards. I went to several urologists and andrologists. Some of them said it was congenital and some said peyronies. During examination there was a mild pain near the base and one of the urologists said I had a firmness between the swelling bodies (plaque?). Anyway here I am...low dose Cialis and I am using VED two times daily for 10 minutes. I have also just recently started traction (andropeyronie). Here in Sweden the only surgery method is plication in my case as I have ED. I am able to have intercourse most of the time but not in all positions. My curve is aporox 40-45 degrees. I am taking some suppöements but none has had any effect as far as I can tell. Cialis has some effect in making my penis a bit more "normal". What route do you recommend?

Kind regards!

Andreas

Hey Dressa,

Looks like you're already on the perfect path!!

The usual (and effective) recommandations are :
- daily traction (PenisMasterPro >> Andropeyronie, consider buying it if you can afford it) + VED ;
- abstinence from masturbation + occasional soft and slow sex only ;
- pentoxifylline (400mg x 2 or 3 times a day), L-Arginine or L-Citrulline (3g), ALCAR (3g) and Cialis (2,5 or 5mg), but I personnally recommend adding bilberry + propolis extract, pycnogenol and vit. K2, each one at highest recommended dosage, + Gotu Kola (1/2 or 3/4 recommended dosage if you are very anxious);
- Good high fat low carb diet, with very little if any refined sugars and processed food.

--> Try this for a few months, and if it does not get better, then you may consider Xiaflex or PRP injections. But normally, if you follow this strict protocol, your symptoms should either improve, either stabilize, either worsen in a very limited way. But as always, with Peyronie's we never know... Gotta be patient mate, that's rule number 1!!

All the best,
- 35 yo, Peyronies Disease with chronic pain, general hourglassing with girth and length loss since 09/01/17.
- Pain almost cured with Hirudoid cream and diet/lifestyle changes (see my topics on this); deformity still here, but partly reduced with traction + VED.

Thanks!

Using that protocole, have you seen improvements? In Sweden pentox is not available. I have been using ved for some months and it's hard to say if it's been of any use. The supplements I'm taking are L-arginin, L-Carnitine and coq-10.

Maybe I'll have to have a surgery or an implant. Starting to feel desperately bad about this. The hourglassing and dent are not there when fully erect but in semi-erect or after sex it's visible.

Hey Dressa,

If your deformity is visible only while semi-erect or after sex, that's already a very good thing. You shouldn't feel desperate, honestly!!

So, yes I'm starting to see improvements with this protocol, one year after the first symptoms, and 1-2 months after they are fully blown. But it's true that I also began to have monthly PRP shots; however, I'm pretty much convinced that, as many members here, traction + VED + oral supps + good diet played a great role in correcting at least my curvature (25° --> 0°).

Hourglasses seem to take much longer to correct, but that seems to be possible in many men (cf. Old Man or James here, who healed their hourglass thanks to oral meds and VED after many months); especially if you attack the disease early, which seems to be your case.

So, please, don't despair: cheer up and take full action!
