So I'm a 49 year old fitness nut who has been dealing with Peyronies for about 5+ years.
About 5 years ago I had a sexual mishap with my girlfriend where my penis decided to go a different direction than I planned which led to a very painful bend or jam against her pelvic bone. I immediately had to stop due to the intense pain which went on for at least 4 minutes. It was excruciating but went away and only left me with some moderate bruising and soreness. Within a week or two everything was back to normal and I was fully functional for about a year.  My penis stayed the same size and I had no noticeable irregularities. Over the next 3 years I had two more occurrences like the first one which left me with some bruising again.  It was then I started noticing a difference in my performance and physical appearance of my penis. What bugged me most was the ED.  It felt like I lost a lot of sensation in the top third of my penis including my glan. About a year-and-a-half ago I visited a urologist about my problem and I was diagnosed with peyronies disease.  I went through two treatments of injections into my penis to help break up the plaque. It was about this time I ran into some Financial issues and could not continue with the treatment. I still managed to have intercourse but it was not very fulfilling and I felt like I was nowhere near the man I was before.  This led me up to a major event in my life.  About a year ago while having sexual intercourse with my current girlfriend things got a little too heated and even though I tried to be careful and cautious it happened again but this time it was severe. This time I severely fractured my penis and it was not a pretty sight.  Within minutes my penis blew up like a balloon.  It just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger and not in a good way.  I rushed to the hospital and had emergency penile fracture surgery.
The surgeon told me he wasn't sure what was going to happen after this event and that only time will tell.  It's possible I could be fine, have severe ED, or maybe even require prosthesis is what he told me.  I healed with no problems but things definitely got worse as far as my ED. When I try to have sex there's just not much feeling in the top and also it looks like there's a rubber band tied around the middle of penis constricting the blood flow to the top area.  Another major issue is that I lost a good 2 in of length as well as some girth in my penis. I was right at 7 inches in length prior to all these problems.  I have tried Cialis and Viagra which helped a little but not enough. I can still have sex and achieve climax but functioning at about 50% can be very depressing.  I'm very fortunate I have a great girlfriend who is understanding.
So anyway I found a new urologist and had all kinds of new tests done.  I had an ultrasound performed on my penis to see the blood flow and if any plaque was present.  I was actually pretty excited because my last urologist who treated me for peyronies with injections never performed an ultrasound on me because he said he could feel the plaque. ( I personally could not feel it and my new doctor could not believe an ultrasound was never performed before treating me with injections.) Anyway I was excited and hoping this ultrasound could figure out exactly what my problem is and then treated correctly.  I was dumbfounded when my urologist said blood flow seems to be fine and no plaque was found according to the ultrasound. He said I'm probably having problems because of tissue damage.  He said basically he could treat me with daily Cialis to keep my blood flow open or another option in the future would be prosthesis but said since I'm still functioning that I should not consider that till later in his opinion.  Since insurance does not cover
Cialis and paying for daily Cialis would be quite expensive he prescribed me Bimix injections for sexual intercourse. This past weekend was first time trying this new injection which I admit Works 10 times better than Cialis because it's an injection right in the penis and you don't get any of the harsh side effects like headaches, flushed face are bloodshot eyes.  It did make sexual intercourse better than before but is not a solution to the main problem. Not sure how one doctor could say I have peyronies and my current doctor say he can't find any plaque.  Perhaps because of my emergency surgery the plaque was cleared out. I'm actually searching for a different urologist presently for second opinion.
if I could offer any kind of opinion or advice from what I went through it would be to be extremely careful when having intercourse while diagnosed with peyronies disease.  Emergency Penile fracture surgery has complicated things even more than before.

Go for the implant, bimix with plaques (or fibrosis) ? no good imho

P1992

friend if I were you would not continue to use these bimix injections  because  they will cause more fibrosis in your penis. Read the Hawk story, one of the administrators of this forum, in the topic SURGERY FOR PEYRONIE DISEASE - MY IMPLANT JOURNAL,  you will understand what I am talking about
54 years, self-induced peyronie
Upward curvature ~40º-50º, narrowing and retraction in flaccid and erect. Multiple plaques, loss of sensitivity, pain sometimes in a flaccid state and always on erection, axial instability and erectile dysfunction

Good information thank you for replying both of you.  I will definitely go give that a read and I appreciate your input.

If you ever have injections, be sure to put pressure on the site for 8-9 minutes to completely stop the bleeding internally as it can cause /worsen peyronies.  I'd def see a peyronies expert for a second opinion.  See a list of docs on this website to get started.
