Hi
I am easing into treatment slowly, massage manual stretch and a acetyl l carnitine. I have been taking a l carnitine for two and half weeks and this week have been waking up with an erection. I don't have ed but have not experienced this in a while.
To put context around this info, I am 64 and have a  BMI of 22. My  bp is 115/70. I have no health issues

So my guess is improved blood circulation is the reason and this would support healing. Any thoughts and similar experiences e?

Yes, nocturnal erections help w the healing process...that's great progress!

ALCAR actually does increase nitric oxide, which is not commonly known. That's great man!

Yes I did read that. In my research I am keying in on improved blood circulation.

I have read about vitamin E's benefits. I have made it part of my diet to improve my immune system. I get 100% from food...sunflower seed and hemp hearts. A tidbit for those adding it to their routine.

Circulation will improve with diet indeed (low insulin again, no hydrogenated vegetable oils), but otherwise I would say try pine bark extract, ginseng, nattokinase, and citrulline. Those really made my penis fill out with blood throughout the day, almost too much. Pine bark can knock you out and make you sleep all day, but the erections will be insane.

ALCAR is an oddity, it's one of the few supplements that has studies on it and PDS, but it showed no real results after a second study. It is also curious because it is directly related to mitochondrial beta oxidation, which I have been researching extensively. It is used in some people with fatty acid oxidation disorders but it also seems to worsen some of the symptoms.

In my case, upon quitting ALCAR I had a neurological attack that caused my arms to flail around and my entire body to experience electric shocks. ALCAR also worsened forum member George's neuropathy. I know that ALCAR is a godsend for nerve problems, as it has been shown to actually regrow nerves, but I think it's a bit complex. I highly recommend people try it, but if my new theory about mitochondria and fatty acid oxidation is right, we really just need to reprogram our mitochondria and stop relying on supplements. Sorry to go off on a tangent, I DO think ALCAR and CoQ10 along with the ones I listed about are a damn good start and may really help.

Thanks for that information.

I can't do much more on the diet side so the supplements are of interest.

Is there any difference between pine bark extract and pycnogenol? The later seems cost about twice as much.

I have found that the ALCAR 'seems' to be causing increased filling out of the penis during the night. I posted earlier that I was getting nocturnal erections but that stopped after I talked about it!! damn it.

I have a breakfast drink that is very nutrient dense and high in anti-inflammatories and antioxidants....not to mention most of your daily fiber. if anyone is interested I can post it.

Would you recommend these Supplements be taken at the same time?

I have just added CoQ10 on top of the Alcar and am thinking maybe adding the others one at a time - over time. The Pine Bark would be next.

I am guessing gnawing on the big ole pine tree out in my back yard doesn't work...

I personally take L-Citrulline (converts into L-Arginine in your body), Acetyl L-Carnitine and CoQ10 along with Cialis and Pentox, I feel those are the best oral supplements available for Peyronie's.

lol I'm sure eating pine bark would work. Monkeys eat tree bark..

But seriously, yeah you can take them all together.

And JS those are definitely some of the best!
