Hi guys, I'd like to know if anybody here could answer to the question reported in the subject of this thread.

Do you think that a guy who's already affected by ED can experience priapism nonetheless? To be more precise, I'd be interested to know if you can you suffer of non-ischemic priapism if you have venous leak. I don't think this would be possible, since venous leak causes blood to leave the penis' corpora cavernosa by itself so that it would be concretely impossible to think that the blood would reamain entrapped in the corpora for whatever reason (e.g. after pde5i's usage or after injections); however I'm not a doctor and I can't tell this for sure.

What do you think about it? Does anybody here have any experience on this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With injections it is possible, but with viagra or similars I doubt it

Yes you can. Some things that increase risk or make you have one:

-injections
-anti depressants
-cocaine
-sickle cell anemia

Thank you both for your inputs.

@pfract: based on what I read, it looks like there are two different kinds of priapism: ischemich priapism (due to the causes you've mentioned and consisting in "blood's entrapment in the corpora caverosa" or "blood's incapability of leaving the corpora cavernosa", so that it causes a full erection that doesn't depend on sexual stimulation and doesn't go away nonetheless) and non-ischemic priapism (due to continuos blood flow to the penis, which causes hardening of it, even if it doesn't cause a full erection). Now, based on my non-professional opinion, the second one is the most risky, since it's more difficult to recongnize (in fact I've read that it doesn't cause pain); always speaking from the point of view of a non-professional, it appears to me that you couldn't ever suffer from non-ischemic priapism if you already have venous leak, since blood in your penis' corpora would be drained by your disease (i.e. venous leak) and you couldn't suffer from any damage because of this; that's why I think you shouldn't suffer of non-ischemic priapism neither (I take for granted that you shouldn't suffer of ischemic priampism, because of the reasons stated above), since venous leak won't have you get an erection on its own, let alone have one that lasts at least for 4 hours; do you think I'm right or not?
