Hi , I am new to traction and stretching and I was wondering how much pressure you should start and finish with when manual stretching. I know it will be different for everyone but it would be great if I could get some base insight so I do not injure myself.
thanks

hi,yes you are right, we are all different so its impossible to tell how pressure to use, i stretch a lot, only when flaccid and don't feel any pain, l'm stretching now, very nice to.

Generally, I manually stretch it to it's natural "limit" and not much further. So, as you pull the head it will travel, then reach a point where it stops stretching and begins pulling on the ligaments at the base of your penis. If you go further you might begin feeling pain and you can stretch your ligaments, which can add length to your penis but is also very risky in terms of injuring yourself.

I have hard flaccid so it complicates things even further. Eventually I plan on writing a guide to manual traction with hard flaccid.

Unfortunately you have to go with what "feels right" and test very carefully what what amount of tension works best. Also, do not go from zero tension to full tension instantly. That is pretty dangerous, especially if you have "hard flaccid." Always start with a low amount of tension and as your penile tissue expands to accommodate, apply more. I personally believe that angle is more important than tension, but I can see that there could be counter arguments to this as well.

Thanks for the replys, for someone starting out how many 15 minute sessions should I do per day

hi; should have only one session per day, temptation will be there, must resist, have a treat now and then and go for two shorter sessions.

Personally, I stretch it for 10-30 seconds per direction, in multiple directions, multiple times throughout the day starting with waking up, then in the shower. Always when I pee because my hard flaccid is relieved in that moment. And then usually later at night a lot. I'd say all together on average I'm only putting in about 10-20 minutes of manual traction per day. If I didn't have hard flaccid the opportunities would be endless and I would probably be doing closer to 30-60 minutes per day. However, I do want to say I like the ability to stretch in different directions, literally straight out, down, up, left and right. I can also reach around behind my leg and pull it on an angle down and to either side (thanks to Neo for that trick) but always be very careful.

what do you guys think about manual stretching vs traction devices?

Manual traction gives you the benefit of different angles, changing angles, and control of the tension. It's also hassle free and costs nothing.

Devices can help you keep high tension on your penis for a prolonged period of time. This is great, but angles may be limited. This might not really matter depending on your case, you just have to try it yourself.

Personally I will likely never buy a traction device. I just do traction every day whenever possible.

Hi, hand traction - stretching - massaging must be the best way forward, it's totally in your control, do it when ever, for as long as you can, rest then do some more, go walk you can slip your hand into your pocket and give it a pull, so many different ways to apply this method, so for me it's number 1, followed by my VED sessions.

Straight after a bath or shower is ideal. Before starting stretches shake you penis loose, or do some gentle helicopter shakes, extend your penis using thumb and index finger behind the glans (penis head) and start slowwwly pulling your penis straight out, note it should never ever be painful, and yes rest days are recommended also.
You need to find a stretch direction that doesn't cause tug or loss of length whilst stretching.

I had great success with the Xia, VED, Traction, and hand stretching.........Granted I was aggressive but careful.........
My Doc recommended 30 seconds 3 x's per day.
I actually did 30 sec abt 7-8 x's per day.........Also they said to pull straight out whereas I pulled and bent it against the curve..........
After 8 months of total dedication I went from 75 degrees to 15 degrees..........Not bad
Good Luck.

Manual traction seems to be so minimal in time compared to even restorex only done for 30-90 mins
PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.

Best advise on here.

So with regards to manual traction ive read that around an hr a day is what you should aim for at least. For length regain as well as erectile function.
Whereas penis extenders ive read studies where they wore them 9 hrs a day.

So what is the final word on this. I prefer hand traction due to different angles and stretches you can do > but how long should one do this for?
Reading this thread as well ive noticed peeps doing manual traction for 10 to 20 mins a day > hence all these different values / guidelines of how long to stretch is a bit of an issue.

Whats the verdict guys?

They're both effective. They're almost like two different (but similar) therapies. One is a static stretch in one direction held for a long period of time, and the other is a versatile multi-directional, free therapy that has great control in tension, etc. I'd say start with manual traction, and eventually get a traction device afterwards if needed.

I also want to know, what causes hard flaccid? I've always been a grower, I injured my penis last year by masturbating with a tight grip in my semi erect state. I get normal erections like they're the same size and what not, but have bottlenecking in the semi state. But only when sitting down. However when I lay on my back my penis seems to relax and get more blood to it. So I haven't received a Doppler Ultrasound by a Peyronies specialist to see what damage I caused. But yeah. What do you all think or know. What have your urologists said about it?

I have the same symptoms from pretty much the same injury. "Bottlenecking" (or hourglassing) for me is present in the top portion of my penis. In our case this is most likely caused by pelvic floor dysfunction; I've been diagnosed with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome. If your hard flaccid goes away when you pee and when you lay on your side, this is because the pelvic floor relaxes in these states. The other cause of hard flaccid seems to be nerve related. The remedies for this that I've read are water fasting, abstinence from sex/masturbation, and physical therapy (trigger points). Talk to your doctor about this. Does the head/underside of your penis fully inflate?

For the bottlenecking by the way, I would get on VED, traction and heat therapy immediately along with Cialis, Pentox, L-Arginine/L-Citrulline, CoQ10 and Acetyl L-Carnitine. The earlier you start the better you can salvage every centimeter of your penis. Just be very careful with the VED and traction. Are you in the acute or chronic phase?

That doesn't seem to match up with me entirely. And I accidentally said o only get bottlenecking when sitting. I meant opposite of that. It's when I walk around a lot. I also don't seem to have any pelvic pain, like it feels fine. I wake up with morning erections. It's been a whole year and a lot of the stuff I had before went away completely. Line seriously for almost 8 months I had no erections. All I did was wait for time to do everything. I also get erections quickly. The only thing I do until I find a specialist to see if I'm okay is just heat therapy sometimes and some very light traction. I also have not lost any size, have no venuous leak, I get full erections too and no beding or new curves. I can also get them standing up, laying down and sitting. I've been getting spontaneous erections too. So I'm gonna talk to a doctor, it's safer to just hold off on VED right now. Also, I've always believe it or not had the head of my penis inflate and the area before it first before the base of my penis. Never bothered me. It's been a year from. The date I gripped too hard. I'm also wondering if it's because I need looser pants and underwear because they're a little tight is you ask me. That can affect bloodflow. When I'm at home I never have my penis shrivel. And this doesn't at all show during erections. I get them faster too.

If you don't have pelvic pain and you didn't get erections for 8 months it sounds like a nerve issue to me. Regardless of the cause, hard flaccid doesn't show during erection. I don't have much info on nerve-related hard flaccid, but from what I've read you just have to be patient and give it time. Maybe take some supplements or adjust your diet to give yourself the best chance of recovery? I agree on holding off with VED. Just make sure you have at least one erection daily even at night (when we all naturally have erections unless injured) because they are crucial to penis health.

Yes. I do have erections fine. But I guess they're a little slower to get. So I'll see what VED to get to get rid of this really mild hourglass. This occurs when I sit down. But not when I lie down. Also when I stand up. So do you have any recommendations for a high quality one? Today I  coaxed many erections and also did some heat therapy and manual traction. My size is the same thankfully and I still have full erectile function.
