hey all, another newbie here. have dipped in & out reading the occasional article on your forums but if i'm totally honest have avoided signing up & reading too much because i've been kind of living in denial & not really wanting to face up to what's happening. i'm doing what i can to shake myself out of that tho, so yeah...hi everyone!

i've used your template to get started...

I'm 48 (soon to be 49)
i've seen a general practitioner and 2 specialists. I'm UK-based so i paid to see a private specialist while i waited for a health service referral. both agreed i have peyronies
i've had the feeling of something not quite right since August 2017, culminating in a rapid onset of what feels like a deep-seated plaque and an approx 30 degree upward curve at the end since October 2017.
the bend, whilst not ideal, i can deal with, its the fact that the end just doesn't get as erect as the rest of my penis that's a major issue, its as if anything past the plaque isn't getting enough blood to fill it out so having sex is like trying to thread a needle wearing boxing gloves!
i'm taking low-dose cialis at the reccomendation of both my GP and the first specialist i saw, I'm also using a manual VED daily during weekdays (i tend to skip weekends to give both myself and my penis a break) so far this hasn't seemed to have any effect altho i suppose its not got worse. been using this approx 3 months now
psyoclogically i'm a mess, this has come at a time when i lost my long term job, which hit me hard, and since my wife & i have (afyter 10+ years of IVF) finally had to face the fact that we're never going to have children, I was able to console myself that at least we still had an active sex life, unlike most of our fiends with kids, now that's backfired on me.
as above, i am in a relationship & we do still have offasional sex but if i'm honest this stresses me ou t& isn't anywhre near as enjoyable as it used to be due to the specific symptoms i'm getting (ie: the end don't get hard so its just not as pleasurable)

anyway, that's me. i'm sure i'll speak to you all a lot more in the fullness of time
