Hey guys. Im new to this. I have had to live with this for the past 5 years and has stabilized. Could be congenital but I dont think it is bc I think I know how I could have injured it. (does it being congenital or not change anything?).

I have about 30 degrees down and 30 degrees to the left. This is defeating me emotionally. There is no bump or cartilage that can be felt. Last year I saw Dr. Carrion in Florida and he said he detected plaque on the ventral side with ultrasound. He recommended viagra, blood thinner, l-carnitine for 6 months. Didnt help. I then went to see Dr. Gelman. He recommended plication. Out of fear of surgery and lack of knowledge about this disease I didnt go through with it.

I have many questions and am just starting to do in-depth research. Can anybody give me some recommendations specifically for a 30 degrees down and 30 degrees to the left curvature?

Focal point also seems to be pretty close to the base of the penis.

Thank you.

Monty

If it congenital you have had this all your life, and i believe the only to correct this via a operation.

Well Since Dr. Gelman recommended surgery i believe you must have a congenital curve because surgery i believe is usually offered with congenital curves, but i could be wrong.

Has anyone on this forum had success with Dr. Gelman?

What about xiaflex? Or any other treatments? Surgery sounds so risky

Looking to get surgery with Dr. Gelman or Dr. Franklin Kuehhas.  Any advice?

Surgery can be done for both congenital and peyronies.  What about traction?

Thank you very much. What are the main risks to xialflex treatment? I am trying to decide if I should pursue xaiflex treatment or plication

Hey thanks for that information. I am so sorry for you and your horrible experience with Dr. Kuehhas. I will stay away from him. I hope that you find a treatment for your case.

As far as I know, and I am no expert, if you have a relatively large amount of congenital curvature, it is more or less inevitable you will end up with some amount of peyronies. If your penis is bent, sex or masturbation will cause a certain amount of trauma, especially if you are not careful. This will lead to at least a small amount of peyronies. If I were you, I'd be slow to undergo surgery. I think I'd look into other things which might reduce the plaque: pentox, potaba, vacuum etc. and at the same time look at techniques which would minimise trauma.

Tsanchez12369, traction and vacuum do not work for congenital curvature

I know, he seemed to be saying he may have congenital + peyronies

For xiaflex the risk is a very rare fracture of penis, therefore go to the highest volume xiaflex doc you can.  I'd always try xiaflex before plication which definitely shortens and can have ED issues.

Yes exactly. I believe the ventral peyronie may be due to a plaque and the lateral bend may be congenital

gungawotcho

Thank you. From what youve seen, who is the best doc for xaiflex? Dr. Lue?

TonySa

Dr Lue has done somewhere in the >3k of xiaflex injections.  Not sure if others.

I suspect one of the best given his experience, but never know for sure.  He couples it w traction and says that greatly improves the success rate.

Hey guys. I am 23 years old and have been living with Peyronies for 7 years. Saw Dr. Lue last week. He is the best. After seeing 3 other urologists who couldnt identify a plaque, he was able to identify it right away and give me the exact diagnosis.

I have a 45 degree lateral curve + a 30 degree ventral curve. Needless to say, it sucks.

I have a ventral and dorsal plaque at the proximal penis. Ventral is 0.6cm thick and dorsal is 0.5cm thick (0.56 x 1.3 x 2).

The reason why there is a 45 degree lateral curve is because both the dorsal and ventral plaque are slightly left. Additionally, the ventral plaque is longer than the dorsal plaque, so thats the reason it curves down.

Anyways. The plan is to do 4 months pentoxifyllline with penile traction 3 hours a day before trying Xiaflex. He recommended I use leg harness system. I am also going to take L-Arginine and possibly Viagra.

My only problem is the leg harness system only addresses the lateral curvature. I need a traction system that addresses both lateral and ventral.

What is the BEST traction device system? I do not mind paying a lot for it.

Also, any thought on other treatments I should try in these next 4 months?

Thank you.
