To start improving or shrinking scar tissue?

How long for Pentox to start working, if it going to?

Is it possible to get results from 2*400 or only 3*400+

Some studies i read claim that with 2x400mg you can obtain results. At the moment, i'm taking 2x400 since 2 weeks. I dont know if this is helping. However, i trust a lot the forum users, so i follow this post with much interest.

I just got my prescription and have been taking 3x400mg for two days now. Already have a reduction in pain. I anticipate having to take it for about a year, but I'm not sure. If it halts the progression, I don't think I'll ever stop :D

I also would recommend (based on all of the recommendations I've been given from our forum members) that you take 3x400mg, so 1200mg per day, split up three times.

I take 3*400 mg Pentox per day for 18 months with very good results.
Stopped after my immune system was weakened.

Hmmmm, I have been taking 2x400mg for 10 months with little results, tried to go up to 3x400 but worsened the side effects... So my advice would be: start to 2x400 and maybe slowly increase to 3! BTW, do you guys think I should try to go back to 3x400, as my pain has not been subsiding for 10 months??

Might be a good idea.  Wonder if you could start at 2.5 tabs and if no side effects (or diminish after a couple weeks) go up to 3 tabs/day.  Also, may want to ask for Diclofenac Sodium Gel for the pain.

Gabriel, (but this question is for all, not only for Gabriel)
which results did you see from Pentox? Only pain reduction or even plaque/fibrosis reduction?

Hi guys,

Sorry for the late answer, but I'm on vacation :-).

@hope : personnaly I never saw any result from Pentox LOL... I have been trying 2x400 mg/day for 5 months (some little side effects such as nausea and mild anxiety), 1x400mg for 3 weeks (nothing or so), 3x400mg for 10 days (big side effects with diarrhea etc.) and nothing for 10 other days. Well, I must say that it did not make any visible difference for me, either in pain or plaque reduction.

But, as always, maybe things would actually had been worse without pentox (which I continue to take, just in case); and that we will never know^^!

Gabriel, thank you very much for your experience.
Pentox is good for our disease - even if you don't see results from it. Probably it won't reverse our problem, but it has antifibrotic and ameliorates the blood flow there. So, it's a good help to stay healthy behind the belt.

To take 2.5 Pentox is not a good idea as it will be 1/2 pill you cut. Pentox is qoated to have the slow release property.
I used in the past the not slow release and had very bad side effects from just one pill.

To reduce/eliminate side effects, take always with meal, the last not later than 3 hours before bad.
