Hi!

I have had a curved/bent penis as long as I can remember. I haven't really thought of it being that odd. 6 months ago the troubles started. The bend is still there and now it feels like the penis is separated in two "parts". I get a severe hourglassing 3/4 way upp from the base when semierect or flaccid. When erect it jut has this bend of apprix 40 degrees upward. I have had some pains but not too severe. I have problems with erection and take 5mg cialis every day. I also take testosterone. The first symtoms was etectile problems and the uro checked my testosterone which was a bit low. I am a mess right now. Is surgery recommended? What is the best way to deal with the hourglassing? I am using VED after readin about it here and I have ordered a traction device (andtopeyronie) which I will receive tomorrow. Any hints?

Kind regards!

It sounds like you have had a congenital curve and now w the hourglassing may have peyronies.  The 5 mg cialis every night plus traction and VED is a good treatment plan.  You could possibly ask about pentox as well or add CoQ10.  You've caught it early and should have success if you keep up the treatment.

Thank you!

Pentox in Sweden seems to be nonavailable. Is there a chance to minimize the hourglassing? And also...are there any other condition that gives hourglassing. After ejaculation the whole penis is thinning. Looks so odd. I have been using the vacuum pump daily for approx 2 months and see no visible effect. Maybe start traction and hive it a try.

Hi Dressa,
Here's my suggestions:

1. Verapamil injections via ionthoforesis worked for me; they reduced a little bit my fibrosis.
2. Suggested supplements that are helping me a little bit: Vit E (i use peironimev plus), Pentox (i use Trental), Coenzyme Q-10 300mg (once a day).
3. I'm going to buy a water VED; it helps with blood flow and helps to keep your penile tissue elastic.

I hope those suggestions will help you. Kind regards and good luck!

Thank you!

This whole journey. I wonder if the best solution though is surgery. Seems like you have to invest your whole life in trying different kinds of might work-might fail solutions otherwise. The only treatment you get in Sweden that you don't have to pay ridiculous money for is surgery. All these injections...some say Xiaplex...some say Veraprimil...how big effect do they have? Is it very painful?

Did a doc recommend surgery?  If so, what type?  I don't know of a surgery for hourglassing vs a bend.

The bending can be adjusted according to the doc. What bothers ne rhe most right now is not the bend but the hunchback look and hourglassing. I am in a hopeless situation. No spontaneous erections but nocturnal erections and morningwood. I am using VED and follows the one tube-protocol. I am taking 5mg Cialis everyday. In Sweden there is no other medications prescibed other than Cialis and vitamine E. Xiaplex injections can be found at private doctors here but it costs a hell lot of money. According to what I have read the results are not that promising. I take largigin and coq10. Other recommendations? Massage?

I'd be cautious about surgery for a congenital curve that doesn't really bother you as it can sometimes worsen ED.  I'd stick w your treatment protocol.  If you want to add something maybe heat treatment w the "hothands" heat pads for an hour or two a day.  You could also add traction, the ESL40 is inexpensive.

Thank you so much for input!

Can traction/heat make the ED problems less severe with time? The thing with Cialis is that it makes my penis look almost normal. Is it worth contiuing on that route? I read somewhere that tadalafil can soften plaque with time. Right now it's quite a mess in my head as of what to do. Your input is very valuable. I might have a congenital bend but the last 6 months or so this hourglassing and indentations have been present. When taking Cialis it's much better and I only have this in semierections.

Traction, heat and cialis should only help, not worsen.
